Château Sansonnet is located on the top of the Saint-Emilion clay-limestone plateau. The vineyard covers 7 hectares (17 acres) surrounding the property. Its outstanding terroir offers elegant and harmonious wines.

History
Château Sansonnet belonged to the Duke of Decazes, a Pair de France (direct descendant of the Royal Family) and a Head of Government in the reign of Louis XVIII.
The first edition of Féret’s “Bordeaux and its Wines” placed Château Sansonnet among the greatest wines of Saint-Emilion.
Château Sansonnet recovered its rank of Grand Cru Classé, which it lost in 1996.
The estate was awarded High Environmental Value Level 3 certification.
