History
Jacques De Schepper, Belgian trader and owner of both Château Tour Baladoz and Château Haut Breton Larigaudière (Margaux), expanded his property with Château La Croizille. In agreement with steward of the family estates Jean-Michel Garcion, his goal with this property was defined from the very beginning: to create exceptional wines.
After a full restructuration of the vineyard, Jacques and his nephew Olivier finalised the construction of a winery in compliance with all technical requirements. The innovative project was completed in 2012, with an exceptional reception area that offers a panoramic view of the vineyard.
Led by Hélène, Jacques’ daughter, La Croizille began to develop tourism. In 2015, the Château won the Trophée d’Or International in the category “Best of Wine Tourism” for the great quality of the services it offers to visitors.
Château La Croizille was certified HVE 3.
Château La Croizille was listed in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classification.

Château La Croizille
Château La Croizille is located on the crest of a slope, deep in the Saint-Émilion region, which offers a magnificent panoramic view. As it is close to Château Tour Baladoz, which also belongs to the De Schepper, meaning visitors can combine both visits. This allows them to discover two types of châteaux, a traditional one with Tour Baladoz and a more modern approach with La Croizille. The experience is taken to another level with an “educational” plot that has been set up with the six grape varieties authorized in Saint-Emilion (merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, malbec and carmenère). Each visit end with the tasting of 3 wines.
The Châteaux different offers include: visits with a tasting, themed tastings, visits with a picnic, a wine boutique, a wine bar on a terrace, a seminar room, educational wine workshops, team-building programs and private parties. The Châteaux are open every day of the year (except Christmas and New Year’s Eve).
