History
Commanderies will continue to exist as long as there are military orders. Under the responsibility of commanders, the commanderies were living places where brotherhoods and communities of knights and affiliates were trained.
On 1st January 2005, Magali and Thibaut Decoster moved into Clos des Jacobins and launched a substantial programme of investment.
In the last Saint-Emilion classification, Château La Commanderie was ranked Grand Cru Classé, thus joining Clos des Jacobins, another estate run by Magali and Thibaut Decoster, in the elite of the appellation’s growths
