History
In this year Château Destieux was purchased by Madame Dauriac. Her son, Christian Dauriac, a qualified œnologist and a clinical biologist, was busy juggling his two passions: wine and medicine.
First vinification of Château Destieux by Christian Dauriac. ‘Destieux is the product of art, patience, time and my passion’. (Christian Dauriac).
Promotion of Château Destieux to the rank of Grand Cru Classé in the Saint Emilion classification. Christian Dauriac, being passionate about wine and having a scientific nature, was stimulated by the technical nature of vine-growing and wine-making.
Château Destieux won for the second consecutive time the 14th Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés trophy during Vinexpo Asia Pacific 2014, with the 2009, 2010 and 2011 vintages.
