History
As described by Édouard Féret in 1898, Château Badette “has always been one of the highest-ranking crus of Saint-Émilion. Superior care allows it to produce an average of 50 barrels of a wine known for its delicate, mellow, bouqueted flavour and perfect conservation.”
Although wine has been flowing out of the Château’s barrels for over a century, its quality remains untouched: since acquiring the vineyard in 2012, Marc Vandeboagaerde has led a property-wide re-design process.
In 2020, Arnaud Vandenbogaerde took over the Domain, and aimed to highlight its biodiversity. That is why different measures were put in place, such as the use of eco-friendly fertilisers or manure, as well as a mating disruption process to lower pests. Such innovative solutions have earned Badette a level 3 HVE certification.
