History
A Dominican convent was built but was then destroyed at the beginning of the One Hundred Years War. With the convent taken by the enemy, who were strategically well-positioned to the disadvantage of the village, the Dominicans found refuge within the village walls. Only one wall would remain and would henceforth be known as ‘Les Grandes Murailles’
The property was acquired by the Reiffers family through their ancestor Malen.
