History
The origins of the Grand Pontet vineyard date back to 1415 when it was planted by an army captain by the name of D’Estien.
Château Grand Pontet was ranked as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé in the first Saint-Emilion classification.
The vineyard was purchased by the Pourquet-Bécot family from the Bordeaux wine merchant house Barton & Guestier
Management of the estate by Sylvie Bécot-Pourquet
Renovation works and overhaul of the cellars.
