château Yon Figeac

Created at the end of the 19th century, Château Yon-Figeac is one of the appellation’s largest, with its 24 hectares of contiguous land.
Since its acquisition, and at the sound recommendation of renowned oenologist Denis Dubourdieu and a skilled technical team, the estate has undergone profound changes. Far-reaching yet respectful of nature, these procedures have brought back the vineyard’s overall equilibrium and, thus, changed the quality and taste of the grapes.
The wine-making process and farming conditions have been adapted : moderated extraction at the vinification stage, improvement of the ageing process by the adjustments of barrels quality and the proportion of new and used barrels) and all those elements are refined with each vintage.
By being spared over-maturation and excessive concentration, the wines aptly express the soil from whence they come. Full of life and digestible, they are conceived for pleasurable consumption.
