Château Ripeau

Mentioned on the 1785 map by Pierre de Belleyme (1747-1819), the property was owned by a series of prominent owners (including Raoul Gunsbourg and the Loubat family, owners of Pétrus). It became a grand cru classé in 1955, the year in which the classification was introduced. The Grégoire family bought Chateau Ripeau in 2015, with the aim of bringing out what had always been in its DNA : a very great wine.
Chateau Ripeau is being brought back to life by the Grégoire brothers
2015 will go down as a turning point in the history of Chateau Ripeau, a Saint-Emilion grand cru classé. The arrival of the Grégoire family marked a new lease of life for the chateau, bringing in new blood and bold plans. By 2019 the property will have been completely transformed by a series of major architectural projects.
