Château Franc Mayne

Adjacent to the prestigious « Côte de Franc », from which it takes its name, Château Franc Mayne has three of the best terroirs of Saint-Emilion. This naturally gives the wines an expressive character, with remarkable finesse, complexity, and liveliness as well as a certain attractive power.
Since 2005, a new team, under the impetus of Michel Rolland, has totally redesigned the vinification area, which now features thermoregulated stainless steel and wooden vats to ferment the grapes from each plot separately. The wines now spend their first few months in barrels in the new groundlevel ageing facility, then continue the slow process in underground limestone quarries which cover over two hectare.
Thousands of wine-lovers visit this unique place every year and a few have the privilege of staying in the lovingly renovated Relais de Franc Mayne, a small “hôtel de charme” surrounded by a superb landscape of vines.
